SHANGHAI; May 5, 2021 – Accenture (NYSE: ACN) has appointed Samantha Zhu as Chairperson and Market Unit Lead of Greater China, effective June 1, 2021, and she will join the Global Management Committee of Accenture. She succeeds Wei Zhu, who will retire from the company at the end of fiscal year 2021.
Samantha Zhu will lead Accenture’s overall business and operations in Greater China, which includes more than 18,000 people serving clients across the region in the cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Dalian, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Hong Kong and Taipei.
Samantha Zhu brings more than 23 years of experience with Accenture and a broad range of expertise—from regional and local market leadership, to industry, operations and consulting. Prior to this appointment, she was the client group lead for Communications, Media, & Technology for Greater China, working with many of the world’s most prestigious companies in this industry. Samantha Zhu has played a pivotal role in expanding Accenture’s business in Greater China and across the region and has led numerous business process outsourcing and information technology infrastructure services.
