Appian Developer - Low-Code Platforms

The Work

As an Appian Developer, you will contribute to the design, development, and implementation of innovative low-code solutions for leading organizations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable applications, automate business processes, and support digital transformation initiatives using the Appian platform.

Please note: Candidates must be based in Portugal and have legal authorization to work in Portugal.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy applications using the Appian Low-Code Platform.
• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable application designs and implementation plans.
• Configure and optimize Appian workflows, process models, interfaces, records, and integrations.
• Develop integrations between Appian and external systems using APIs, web services, and enterprise applications.
• Support application releases, deployments, troubleshooting activities, and production environments.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, analysts, and delivery teams to ensure successful solution delivery.

Detailed Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end Appian solutions following development standards, governance frameworks, and best practices.
• Design reusable components, application modules, and integration services.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, solution designs, and deployment procedures.
• Participate in application performance tuning, debugging, and root-cause analysis.
• Support Agile delivery methodologies, including sprint planning, development, testing, and release activities.
• Contribute to solution design workshops and provide recommendations for process improvement and automation.
• Implement user-centric designs leveraging wireframes, storyboards, and usability best practices.
• Ensure compliance with security, quality, and operational requirements throughout the application lifecycle.

Requirements

Mandatory Skills

• Appian Development.
• Design & Build Enablement expertise.
• Experience designing and developing enterprise applications.
• Knowledge of application integration methodologies.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of professional experience in Appian development or related application development technologies.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English preferred.
