Position Overview: 

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented individual to join our Document and Information Management Domain as a Project Data Management Operator. In this role, you will be responsible for executing project data management activities, ensuring accurate collection, organization, and maintenance of project data for our Clients’ Oil & Gas EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects. You will support the Project Data Management Manager in implementing data management strategies and procedures. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Execute project data management activities in alignment with industry standards, best practices, and Clients’ project requirements. 

  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand data requirements, standards, and objectives for each project and with IT teams to optimize project data management systems, tools, and technologies. 

  • Implement and follow project data management processes and procedures to ensure accurate, consistent, and secure collection, storage, and retrieval of project data. 

  • Support data governance policies, including data ownership, data quality standards, access controls, and data lifecycle management. 

  • Maintain project databases, data repositories, and other data management systems to ensure data integrity, security, and availability. 

  • Coordinate with the onshore and offshore team to ensure correct and smooth execution of Project Data Management activities. 

  • Define data collection and reporting requirements, ensuring alignment with project objectives and stakeholder needs. 

  • Ensure timely and accurate collection and entry of project data into designated systems or databases. 

  • Maintain data dictionaries, data classification frameworks, and metadata standards and perform data quality control processes, including data cleansing, validation, and verification activities. 

  • Analyze and interpret project data to identify trends and support decision-making processes and generate and distribute regular and ad-hoc project data reports, dashboards, and visualizations. 

  • Provide guidance and training to project team members on data management best practices and data entry procedures. 

  • Foster effective communication channels with project teams, stakeholders, and IT teams. and adhere to confidentiality requirements and safeguard sensitive project data.

Qualifications and Skills: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Data Science, Information Technology or related field. 

  • Experience (3+ years) in project data management, data analysis, or a similar role, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry or EPC contractors. 

  • Knowledge of project data management principles, best practices, and industry standards. 

  • Proficiency in data management systems, databases, and tools, such as SQL, relational databases, data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and data analytics platforms. 

  • Familiarity with Project Engineering collaborative platforms and CDE. 

  • Understanding of data governance principles, data quality control processes, and data lifecycle management. 

  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and processes within the Oil & Gas industry. 

  • Knowledge of the CFIHOS standard is a plus. 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with project teams, stakeholders, and IT teams. 

  • Ability to work independently and support project data management initiatives. 

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, supporting the overall objectives of the Project Information Management Department. 

  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
