Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Overview
Support hybrid and multi-cloud architecture workstreams within advisory and transformation engagements — contributing to architecture assessments, reference architecture documentation, and design analysis under the guidance of senior architects. Develop current-state assessments of client hybrid environments covering private cloud platforms (VMware Cloud Foundation, Nutanix), colocation infrastructure, hyperscaler footprints (AWS, Azure, GCP), and hybrid connectivity configurations (SD-WAN, MPLS, dedicated interconnects).
Contribute to hybrid security architecture workstreams — researching Zero Trust patterns for hybrid environments, documenting IAM and identity federation configurations, mapping network segmentation designs across on-premises and cloud, and supporting the development of hybrid security architecture recommendations.
Support multi-cloud FinOps analysis and reporting — collecting and analysing cost data across on-premises infrastructure lifecycle and cloud consumption, identifying optimisation opportunities, and contributing to financial governance framework documentation.
Support IaC and platform engineering workstreams — documenting infrastructure patterns across Terraform, Ansible, and platform-specific tools, researching hybrid Kubernetes and GitOps standards, and contributing to governance framework documentation. Support the development of unified observability architecture recommendations using Datadog, Dynatrace, and Splunk.
Support proposal and solutioning efforts by contributing architecture assessments, design patterns, and reference architectures. Contribute to practice asset development and knowledge management under senior guidance.
Qualifications
Educational Background
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline. A Master's degree (MBA, MSc in Cloud Computing, or equivalent) is preferred.
Certifications
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate OR Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) OR Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer (at least one)

6–9 years of relevant experience in consulting, cloud infrastructure, or enterprise technology roles. At least 2 years contributing to hybrid or multi-cloud architecture workstreams in an advisory or delivery context, with growing exposure to client-facing architecture assessment and design work.
Working experience with hybrid cloud technologies — familiarity with at least one private cloud platform (VMware vSphere/vSAN, Nutanix AHV), one hyperscaler (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and hybrid connectivity concepts (SD-WAN, MPLS, dedicated interconnects) — in either a delivery, engineering, or advisory support capacity.
Foundational experience in hybrid security architecture — familiarity with Zero Trust concepts, IAM and identity federation patterns, network segmentation across on-premises and cloud, and encryption frameworks; able to research and document security patterns under senior guidance.
Working knowledge of multi-cloud FinOps concepts — aware of infrastructure lifecycle costing and cloud consumption models; able to collect cost data across hybrid environments and contribute to financial governance documentation under direction.
Some exposure to hybrid cloud architecture workstreams spanning adjacent areas — awareness of hybrid Kubernetes patterns, GitOps, and how on-premises and cloud infrastructure supports AI workloads and resiliency requirements; able to contribute analysis and documentation under senior guidance.
Experience supporting proposal and solutioning efforts through architecture assessments, design pattern documentation, and reference architecture contributions.
