The GAP Regional Protective Services Brazil Lead – Associate Manager - is responsible for providing country risk monitoring, physical security advice/oversight and crisis management. Its position is based out of the Sao Paulo office. Our Sao Paulo office is a high visibility location within Accenture, attracting the most senior leaders, clients and guests. This position will be required to partner with crisis management stakeholders, security systems and technology teams, and facilitate necessary escalations. This will require acting as the true face of the firm's safety and security stance. While the job's tasks and responsibilities are security, the hospitality-forward personality will create a level of confidence and executive presence.
Key Responsibilities:
General
- Has strong knowledge of Life Safety, Physical Security and Crisis Management
- Comfortable with a highly visible customer facing role
- Deals with difficult and sensitive situations appropriately
- Passionate about customer service and executive presence
- Has extensive knowledge in behavioral threat assessment and response
- Prepares weekly status report including status, deliverable deadlines, actionable progress and attends team status meetings.
- Identifies complex or disputed issues, which have major day-to-day impact on area of responsibility and resolves with guidance from Regional Protective Services Lead/Supervisor.
- Develops and manages positive customer relationships within area of responsibility acting as a key contact for safety/security issues.
- Establishes near term goals and provides input to longer term goals within area of responsibility; contributes to long-term planning
- Coordinate with local, state and federal law enforcement and establishing a network
- Performs location Life Safety, Business Continuity and Physical Security Reviews
- Train country and office crisis teams on crisis preparedness and management, according to the global crisis management program
Monitoring Risk Intelligence and Coordinating Incident Response
- Highly responsive, flexible and adaptable
- Monitors local risk intelligence information and provide weekly local threat environment reports to Regional Protective Services Lead
- Coordinates and provides crisis response with Regional Protective Services Lead
- Activates network for disaster response
- Coordinates vendor/contractor response involvement
- Ensures safety and security protocols are adhered to within area of responsibility
Events
- Plan and provide physical security for meetings involving large partner or client attendance within Sao Paulo office and other offices in Brazil. Coordinates on site security, medical and local law enforcement support, accordingly, partnering with the executive protection team
- Provides security and contingency planning for market level meetings and larger community meetings as requested
Investigations
- Supports the Regional Protective Services Lead and investigations team with ad hoc requests
- Treats operational confidence and security with utmost sensitivity
Site Assessments
- Stay informed on all physical security standards
- Conduct site assessments throughout Brazil and identify vulnerabilities and proposed mitigations
Relationships:
Reports to: LATAM Regional Protective Services Lead
External Relationships: Security vendors, building management, local security contacts
Internal Relationships: Workplace, Executive Protection, Business Leadership
Preferred Qualifications:
Education Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred
Basic Qualifications:
Work Experience: Minimum of three years experience in security, law enforcement, emergency management, military
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Knowledge in corporate security, contingency, disaster recovery, business continuity and evacuation planning
- Self-motivated, able to operate with a large degree of autonomy and independence
- Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
- Strong understanding of physical security technology solutions
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task to meet team and local deliverables
- Superior program/project management skills
- Excellent customer service oriented interpersonal and communication skills able to represent the Global Assistance Protection team in front of senior leaders
- Positive attitude and high degree of self-confidence
- Ability to work well with all levels of management, staff and external service providers
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Must speak English and Portuguese
- Intermediate or advanced knowledge of MS Office (specifically Excel and PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of contract management
- General understanding of investigative process
- General understanding of safety/security in a corporate environment
- General understanding of legal and corporate terminology
- Exposure and demonstrated ability to work in multicultural environments
- Ability to travel 25% of time
- Ability to work overtime on short notice
