Job Summary
The Group Design Director may autonomously lead one large account or several smaller accounts. The Group Design Director has a mastery of craft and management skills, strong cross-functional relationships internally and with clients at all levels, and contributes to the tone and culture of the department and agency.
Job Responsibilities
Lead multiple pieces of Design business, across a range of clients and visual aesthetics
Understand and adhere to business and operational practices, both internal and client-lead
Manage people at the highest level, guiding their career growth and helping them develop, regardless of whether or not they are working on assignment together
Lead design portion of new business pitches, working closely with all departments to form a seamless and winning presentation
Forge strong one to one relationships with clients
Lead client presentations and discussions about holistic design principles for the brand
Run multiple projects and productions at once, effectively managing and delegating work
Maintain a robust understanding of current and emerging design and creative industry trends and push for original work
Develop and maintain cross-disciplinary partnership with creative, strategy, account and production
Basic Qualifications
Portfolio or samples of work demonstrating smart, brand-building designs and executions
Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of design experience at an agency, design company or related industry
Winner of various awards and accolades for accomplished work
Experience managing career growth and development of Designers at the Design Director level and below
Demonstrated ability of shaping design vision for a piece of business and running it in a self-sufficient manner with minimal oversight
Ability to multi-task across multiple pieces of business and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
Strong interpersonal skills to work internally and with clients
Solid understanding of design process, beyond just campaign work and deep understanding of different design practices, including User Experience and Creative Tech, and ability to partner with those groups to boost ideas
Expert proficiency in Photoshop and InDesign, and any new and emerging design-specific software
Expert production experience
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in New York as set forth below.
