Role Description
As an Experience Design Director, you’ll own the design practice and delivery across one or more accounts. You’ll be responsible for overseeing multidisciplinary design teams to create best-in-class products and strategies for our clients. You’ll also manage Design Leads, collaborate with primary stakeholders, and work with program leadership to plan future projects.
A professional in this position, at this level within Accenture, has the following responsibilities:
Drive design quality, practice, and offerings that meet business and user goals as well as create new offerings.
Lead design points of view and thought leadership.
Create instant tangibility for the team and the client through effective storytelling.
Drives sales of new work at existing client accounts and fosters new relationships with clients to scope and sell net new work for D&DP pipeline.
Develop pitch decks and project approaches that lead to exciting, inspiring, and well-shaped work for our Design team.
Cultivate relationships with new and existing clients.
Deeply understand the market and can speak to our clients and the industry about our content, craft, and trends.
Own craft and capability output across key projects, ensuring each project deliverable is of the highest quality.
Monitor and drive the team to utilize the best and latest methods and tools in order to be competitive in the industry.
Collaborate effectively with remote and onsite team members, including but not limited to designers, researchers, project/product managers, QA, developers, data scientists and technical architects
Provide directional oversight of individual project team's work and assume overall accountability for it.
Assess performance and provide career guidance and performance decisions for the Design team.
Basic Qualifications
These are the minimum requirements for an aspirant to be considered for the position applying to:
10+ years’ experience in Product Design across varied users and business problems.
5+ years leadership/management experience; demonstrated experience leading multiple cross-discipline teams.
5+ year of experience planning, designing, facilitating, and synthesizing workshops.
5+ years' experience with driving and applying user-centered design processes.
5+ years of experience growing and managing client relationships and selling work.
Design Portfolio must be submitted with application.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
You’re comfortable in Figma and other prototyping/design tools
Experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, JIRA, Mural, or Miro is a plus.
Knowledge of and experience with applying user-centered design processes across different types of work.
Understanding of areas of specialization within the greater design landscape, including but not limited to Service Design, Design Research, Visual Design, and Content Design.
Ability to create proof-of-concepts, product visions, research reports, user/product flows, design systems, user journeys, prototypes, wireframes, UI designs, dev-ready assets, and dev annotations.
You’re comfortable designing within iOS and Android native, Web Responsive, and additional platform guidelines using Figma and other relative design tools
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York or Washington as set forth below.
