Data & AI Platform Delivery Lead (GCP)
You Are:
A Unified Data Analytics Platform Application Lead, you will be responsible for leading the effort to blueprint and design of a unified data analytics platform. You would understand and translate the business objectives and analytical requirements for global digital transformations into the full development life cycle of complex data products. In this role, you would lead data engineering, and partner with technology and business teams including Infrastructure, Digital, Product, Analytics, Reporting, Merchandise, marketing, Customer and Store Operations to co-lead and deliver multiyear roadmaps. Your typical day will involve working with the cloud platform (preferably Google Cloud) Unified Data Analytics Platform, being the single point of contact for cross-functional teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Application Design and Development: Lead the architecture, design, build, and configuration of applications using our cloud platform of choice (preferably Google Cloud). Collaborate with developers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure that applications meet business requirements and adhere to best practices and standards. The modern data stack building includes consolidation across multiple applications (like Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, IBM, AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, Qlik, Power BI) at scale (Terabyte to Petabyte volume, 10M+ customers/users)
Primary Point of Contact: Act as the primary point of contact for all aspects of standing up a unified data analytics platform. Provide technical guidance, support, and oversight to ensure successful delivery of applications.
Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure that applications meet business requirements and are delivered on time. Provide guidance and direction on data product lifecycle, architecture roadmap and OKR’s using hybrid agile, rapid prototyping and experimenting, evaluating and continuous prioritization partnering with internal (Business, Engineering) and external (Vendor, Partner) leadership
Coach, Mentor and Train technical, business and operations teams on analytics use cases, data driven journey, self-exploration, governance and continuous improvement. Evangelize use of data across levels and functions through multiple channels (demos, show and tell, workshops, training, hackathons)
Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, trends, and best practices in data analytics and cloud computing. Apply this expertise to design and build scalable, secure, and efficient data analytics platforms. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and resources to ensure successful delivery of applications on time and within budget.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Lead the design, build, and configuration of applications using the Cloud platform of choice. - Act as the primary point of contact for all overall design, delivery and execution of standing up a unified data analytics platform. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, and business analysts, to ensure the successful delivery of applications. - Ensure that all applications are designed and built to meet business requirements and adhere to best practices and standards
Defining the requirements and leading development of the Unified Data Platform.
Design and develop the data platform to efficiently and cost effectively address various data needs
Assist in employing software across the entire cutting-edge data platform, including event driven data processing, storage, and serving through scalable and highly available APIs, using cutting-edge technologies.
Strategize, think, act, and utilize data by enabling exploratory and quantitative analytics, data mining, and discovery.
Think of new ways to help make the data platform more scalable, resilient, and reliable and then work across a cross functional team to put ideas into action.
Help stay ahead of the curve by working closely with data engineers, API developers, DevOps, researchers, and analysts to design systems which can scale elastically.
Help build and maintain foundational data products
Work closely with data analysts and stakeholders to make data easily accessible and understandable to them.
Ensure data quality by implementing re-usable data quality frameworks.
Work closely with various other data engineering teams to roll out new capabilities.
Design and help with build process and tools to maintain AI / ML pipelines in production.
Develop and enforce data engineering, security, data quality standards through automation.
Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 25% to 100% depending on business need and client requirements.
Preferred Locations: Seattle, Phoenix, and Atlanta, but open to locations near Accenture corporate offices.
What You'll Need:
Minimum 10+ years of experience in data analytics, cloud computing, and application development
Minimum 2+ years of technical experience in Google Cloud and data analytics tools and technologies
Proven track record of leading complex projects and delivering results on time and within budget
Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associate’s Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience)
Bonus if you have:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Certification in Google Cloud or other cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure)
Experience with data governance, security, and compliance frameworks
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices
Professional Skills:
Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills
Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver business outcomes
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, New York or Washington as set forth below.
