The Transportation Planning Analyst executes transportation planning activities including load consolidation, mode shift, and optimization of transportation routes.

  • Manages tendering and execution of transportation loads

  • Monitors status updates from carriers (in-transit, appointment, delivered etc.)

  • Proactively communicate and resolve transportation exceptions

  • Provides customer service to clients and vendors during transportation planning and execution

  • Reports and analyzes designated key performance indicators which may include but are not limited to financial, satisfaction and operational metrics

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of transportation planning experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Working knowledge of a TMS (Transportation Management System)

  • Transport Management – Should have had logistics responsibility i.e., inbound logistics and outbound logistics / dispatches, Depot Management, Freight & Fleet Management

  • Experience in routing, scheduling & consolidation of loads, backhaul operations

  • Understanding of transportation rules, regulations, standard processes, and business policies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proven ability to work independently and as a team member

  • Ability to be flexible and work in a problem-solving environment

  • Ability to simplify complex tasks and drive efficiencies

  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

  • Must display professionalism and confidence

  • Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian

  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting; either military or civilian

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York or Washington as set forth below.
