Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate must have general knowledge of the Hadoop ecosystem including Cloudera, Hive, Impala, Spark, Oozie, Kafka, HBASE etc. The candidate should possess a proven ability to understand technical issues in a multitenant platform-as-a-service environment and work with peer teams to facilitate problem resolution. A focus on tenant relations (customer service) and communication is a key attribute when coordinating with tenants and other interdependent service teams. This is a fast paced, continuously evolving platform. In addition to supporting tenant needs you must be passionate about automating processes and simplifying the overall operating environment. Candidates will be a team player able to communicate effectively both orally and written. You must be able to understand new technical offerings and learn new technologies in the context of the multitenant platform.

Responsibilities include:

  • Translating the requirements created by functional analysts into the architecture for that solution and describing it through the set of architecture and design documents. Those documents are then used by the rest of the development team to implement the solution.

  • The process of defining architecture by the Solutions Architect often involves selection of the most appropriate technology for the problem being solved, impact assessment as well as technical and operational feasibility.

  • Developing the high-level strategy to solve business problems.

  • Ensure solutions adhere to enterprise standards.

  • May be aligned to an applications or a technology stack

Essential Functions:

  • Provide innovative tactical solutions when necessary to meet operational requirements

  • Provide Infrastructure support, manage technical issues in partnership with internal and external support teams and vendors

  • Work directly with business and technology partners to translate business requirements into effective, efficient technology solutions

  • Learn new products/tools/technologies to guide business partners in implementing new Big Data features and functionality

  • Experienced in Agile development practices and product owner role

  • Platform capacity management, utilization, forecasting holistically from lower lanes to production for all tenants

  • Successfully candidate will join a team responsible for Hadoop production platform maintenance and support activities ensuring production platform stability and business continuity.

  • Provide critical Hadoop platform support including Incident management, change management and problem management.

  • Develop platform monitoring tools requiring advanced skills developing custom diagnostic scripts and using common support tools such as Splunk, Tableau, Pepperdata, CM.

Basic Qualifications:        

  • 5 years minimum experience with Hadoop, Cloudera

  • HS Diploma/ GED

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Associate's

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York or Washington as set forth below.
