THE PRACTICE:

This role will align with our Engineering Digitization Development R&D practice and fall under the Engineering Systems capability.

Product Engineering & Servicing professionals link engineering and product development spending to business value, unlocking new sources of growth for our clients. They operate at the core of our clients’ product and service value chains; fusing hardware, software, connectivity, and cloud, coupled with supporting engineering systems, to drive competitiveness while ensuring business results.

Engineering Systems professionals are focused on digitizing, optimizing, and transforming our clients' traditional and next-generation R&D and engineering processes and tools. They combine deep knowledge of engineering systems, solutions, and tools that power process digitization including but not limited to deep PLM, Digital Thread/Twin, AI-powered engineering decision-making cloud, MBSE tools, analytics tools, lab optimization, engineering computing, and security.

Work with clients of various industries in the areas of product development, electrical/mechanical/software development, integration with manufacturing, and impacts on the supply chain.  

  • Go deep to get the lay of the land of the industry, product development, impacts on manufacturing, and supply chain challenges that clients are facing to grasp clients’ transformation opportunities in the context of global, economic, technology, and industry trends.  

  • Apply strong analytical skills to dig deep into clients’ R&D and PLM capabilities to identify where clients can leverage Digital Thread & Twin technologies for the greatest strategic impact and to drive business outcomes.

  • Help your team pinpoint the right Digital Thread & Twin strategies, capabilities, and technologies to meet the needs of clients and help draw up practical transformation road maps that position clients for long-term success.

  • Utilize foundational and emerging technology in advanced topics such as environmental and regulatory compliance, product variance, bill of process, sustainability, and product service management.  

  • Lead your and the client's teams through large Digital Thread & Twin transformation journeys 

  • Build relationships with clients to maintain Accenture’s profile as a long-term trusted advisor and partner.

  • Keep deepening your prowess in business and technology strategy to reinforce Accenture’s reputation as a thought leader.

THE WORK:

  • Perform project management activities in the areas of Product Engineering Manufacturing & Digital Operations.  Generate your own plans, manage logistics, and provide internal and external status.  Familiar with methodologies such as waterfall and Agile.  

  • Work closely with the Accenture team and key stakeholders to understand requirements, own specifications and design documents, and deploy the applications.

  • Assist in the analysis, design, and development of a roadmap and implementation based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint 

  • Lead customer workshops and facilitate process and technical discussions.  

  • Accountable for quality deliverables such as traceable requirements, process maps, user stories, and functional specifications

  • Lead global functional and technical teams

  • Coach the implementation team with members from internal Accenture and the client

  • Provide Functional system solutions for PLM/ ALM / MES systems.

  • Lead in the functional design and the functional Architecture of the solution.

  • Design and implement application configurations to meet business processes and application requirements. Review and approve functional specifications and conduct code walk-through.

  • Gather and analyze data and develop architectural requirements at the project level.

  • Act as an advocate of Product Lifecycle Management best practices, methods, and processes.

  • Develop test plans to ensure that developed solution satisfies client requirements.

  • Management and follow-up on internal and external sales campaigns.

  • Continuing development and refinement of offerings and collateral to support/promote the sales of offerings (overviews, case studies, account planning, marketing information).

  • Successfully supporting the sales process from origination to successful closing (including offering fine-tuning, solution shaping, proposal preparation, and client presentations).

Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 0 to 100% depending on business need and client requirements.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If associate degree, must have minimum 6 years’ work experience).  
  • 12 years of professional experience with PLM solution delivery: TeamCenter WINDCHILL, 3DEXPERIENCE or ARAS.
  • 10 years of professional experience in Engineering/Manufacturing IT systems including ERP, PLM, MES, ALM and QMS.
  • 6 years of program management experience in IT systems (Engineering/Manufacturing) including ERP, PLM, MES and QMS 

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:

  • Experience with 3D visualization, AR/VR, IoT, Blockchain, compliance, sustainability
  • Experience with Propel, Aras, Oracle PLM, FlexPLM, Centric
  • Systems Implementation methodology knowledge (Agile Methodology, Waterfall)
  • Good analytical & troubleshooting skills
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  •  Desire to work in an information system environment
  • Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian
  • Proposal development experience
  • Team management experience, 5 or more team members

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York or Washington as set forth below.
