Leonardo Framil is the chief executive officer of Growth Markets at Accenture, with management oversight for all the company’s services in Asia Pacific, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America. He is also a member of Accenture’s Global Management Committee.
With over 30 years of experience consulting major corporations, Leonardo has worked with the largest financial institutions and technology companies in Latin America. He also has deep experience working with leading corporations from Asia, Europe, and North America. With a focus on enterprise transformation, Leonardo has led innovation journeys in Latin America with clients including Itaú Unibanco, Santander, Natura, Unilever, AB Inbev, Stellantis and Telecom Italia Group, among others.
Prior to his current role, Leonardo was Market Unit Lead for Latin America, where he made 11 regional acquisitions, increased Accenture’s workforce by 75% and doubled the number of women. Under his leadership, Accenture has been recognized for innovation by Forbes, and he was named Executive of the Year by Valor Econômico, Brazil’s leading financial newspaper. Leonardo’s leadership has also been recognized by numerous industry organizations, including Latin America’s leading business leader’s forum, which cited him for Local Eminence in Innovation.
Leonardo has served on the boards and councils of major business associations, including the American Chamber of Commerce for Brazil and the Brazilian Association of Information Technology & Communication Technology Companies (Brasscom), as well as non-profit organizations such as the United Way Brazil, Instituto Ayrton Senna and Gerando Falcões.
Leonardo joined Accenture in 1992 and became a managing director in 2001. For much of his career, he has been partnering with prominent Brazilian business leaders to combat social inequality. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he led numerous pro-bono initiatives by Accenture to distribute and maintain life-saving ventilators and to deliver food and vaccines throughout Brazil.
Leonardo has a postgraduate degree in telecommunications engineering from Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF) and has attended executive programs at the Brazilian Institute of Capital Markets (IBMEC), Insead, IMD, Singularity University and University of Chicago.
