Role: Oracle DBA/Cloud Technical Architect
Location: Australia Melbourne/Sydney
Travel: 50%

What responsibilities will you have?
Oracle DBA/Database Technical Architect includes responsibility for the installation, configuration, upgrading, administration, monitoring, maintenance, and security of databases within an Oracle architecture. As part of the database services team, the role includes the development and design of Cloud, Oracle database strategies, system monitoring and improving database performance and capacity. They may also plan, co-ordinate and implement security measures to safeguard the database.
What skills & experience are we looking for?
Strong interpersonal and communication (both verbal and written) skills
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and debugging skills
8+ years of Core DBA Skills including areas such as:
Database Architecture Design and PL/SQL
Database Installation, Configuration and Patching including RAC
Data Replication, Database Security, Encryption, Compression and Data Masking/Redaction
Backup and Recovery, DataPump and SQL*Loader
Automation
Database Performance Tuning
Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control & Cloud Control
4+ years of industry experience as an Oracle Database Architect with a strong understanding of infrastructure
8+ years of experience with Oracle databases including hands-on knowledge of Oracle Database solutions
Preferred Skills:
Oracle database experience in a cloud environment
Oracle Engineering Systems (Exadata, Exalogic, SuperCluster, etc.)
Migration and Consolidation planning and execution
High Availability, MAA and DR: Real Application Clusters & Active Data Guard
Problem diagnoses, Manageability and Operations
Knowledge of other Database brands is a plus: SQL Server, DB2, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Sybase
Very large databases and in-memory database solutions
Oracle GoldenGate
