The Accenture Trading, Investments & Optimization Strategy practice (ATIOS), part of Accenture Strategy, is a global practice operating across multiple industries. It is one of the few global strategy practices which provides a very steep cross-industry learning curve and a truly global professional experience, working with organizations focused on commodity production, trading, logistics and marketing.
We combine our unique industry knowledge in the energy, chemicals, soft commodities, agriculture, metals, mining, utilities, transportation and consumer goods amongst others with analytics-powered core strategy consulting skills, digital and applied intelligence to create unsurpassed value for our clients across the world.

Our four core capability areas are:
1) Trading and Risk Management: working with commodity-centric organizations to set-up and expand their commodity trading and risk management activities, partnering with them to optimize product margin, enhance supply certainty, and reduce price/volumetric volatility through state-of-the-art analytics, AI, and risk management techniques.
2) Investment Valuation & Financial Structuring: We work collaboratively with clients to shape investment / divestment transactions, devise investment strategies, support corporate restructuring, capital planning, balance-sheet optimization and other core strategic priorities around their asset portfolio
3) Optimization: Also, we help clients create value by optimizing their value chain, be it through developing a new strategic direction because of digital disruption or market uncertainty, helping them grow and enter new markets, or even devising new, innovative and agile business models to help them pivot to the New. Underpinning this work, we also regularly partner with our clients to enhance their corporate functions' strategies and agility in support of the wider business model and strategic plan.
4) Energy Transition: Finally, we work with clients to shape their strategies to develop new businesses on the energy transition and shape their overall go to market approach, operating model and implementation for these new business models such as electricity, hydrogen, carbon markets, etc.
Key responsibilities:
Client Delivery and Development
- Gain exposure to our global project footprint, contributing to engagements not only in Thailand but potential on work across Southeast Asia and internationally as part of the ATIOS Global Strategy practice.
- Collaborate closely with cross-office project and client teams, including members from ATIOS Thailand and global ATIOS offices, assisting in solving complex business challenges within our three core capability areas.
- Support project teams under supervision to identify opportunities that create significant value for our clients.
- Develop foundational analytical skills by working on quantitative and qualitative analyses that support the delivery of actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
- Participate in client interviews and workshops, and assist in preparing clear, impactful presentation materials.
- Engage in diverse topics such as corporate strategy development, trading and risk management capability set-up, operating model design, commercial optimization, investment valuation and financial structuring, balance sheet analysis, energy market liberalization, energy transition, and advanced numerical modeling related to energy and commodity markets.
Practice Building
- Contribute to developing the ATIOS Thailand, ATIOS Global and wider Accenture Strategy practice and community, and building ATIOS offerings, assets and thought leadership
- Support internal Business Development activities by conducting and managing industry and company-specific research (competitors, market scanning and market fundamentals, financials, customers, etc.), as well as the development of client proposal presentations
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in your penultimate year of an undergraduate, master's, or MBA degree at a leading Thai or international university.
- Demonstrated ability to think critically, creatively, and strategically, with evidence of structured problem-solving experience.
- Natural leadership qualities with strong interpersonal skills, collaborative spirit, and digital savviness.
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable participating in workshops and delivering presentations.
- Intellectual curiosity, eagerness to learn, and interest in helping companies navigate disruptions by creating strategies focused on growth, profitability, sustainability, and trust.
- Comfortable working in ambiguous, dynamic environments.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with a passion for business and technology. Coursework or experience with statistics, data analytics, data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx), or programming languages (R, Python, Julia, SQL) is highly beneficial.
- Previous international or multicultural experience is preferred.
- Interest in commodities markets, the energy sector, and the energy transition is highly desirable.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in both English and Thai.
