Job Description
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and manage a high-performing team responsible for a wide range of technologies across multi-cloud (e.g., Microsoft Azure) and on-premises infrastructure, providing technical leadership, mentorship, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, configure, automate, and maintain cloud-based and on-premises infrastructure, ensuring operational efficiency, scalability, and optimization of diverse technology endpoints (e.g: virtualization, storage hardware…).
Client & SLA Management: Manage client relationships and service contracts, ensuring adherence to SLAs, handling escalations, and maintaining 24/7 operational status of cloud and on-premises virtual servers (except during scheduled maintenance).
Operational Strategy: Develop and execute strategies for efficient infrastructure operations, optimizing performance, resource utilization, and system availability while anticipating and troubleshooting issues proactively.
Collaboration & Incident Resolution: Actively collaborate with team members, contractors, and vendors on bridge calls to prevent or resolve incidents/problems swiftly and provide support for daily operational tasks as needed.
Documentation & Compliance: Develop and maintain detailed documentation, procedures, testing protocols, and technical guides for server setups, configurations, and operations, incorporating security enhancements (e.g., NIST guidelines) and escalation processes.
Innovation & Trends: Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, proposing and implementing innovative solutions to meet client demands and drive digital transformation.
OT/OC Requirement: Overtime or on-call availability is required as per assignment needs.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
+ Technical Expertise:
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g: Azure), on-premises technologies (e.g. VMware) and OS.
Comprehensive understanding of technical operations, including observability, tooling, backup strategies, and security posture, ensuring robust monitoring and data protection.
Strong mindset for automation, with the ability to design automated workflows to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
Familiarity with IT service management frameworks and security best practices (e.g., NIST guidelines).
+ Experience:
5+ years of experience in infrastructure management, with a focus on cloud and on-premises environments.
3+ years in a leadership role overseeing technical teams and operational delivery.
+ Leadership & Communication:
Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, with excellent coaching and mentoring skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, capable of engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
+ Problem-Solving & Innovation:
Ability to troubleshoot complex issues, implement scalable solutions, and drive process improvements with a forward-thinking approach.
+ Strategic Thinking:
Demonstrated ability to align infrastructure operations with organizational goals and optimize resource utilization.
