“Max, what do you work with?” my 8-year-old nephew once asked me.
“Well, I am a sort of construction worker,” I said, “But unlike your father who works with physical construction, I build digital houses. You don’t have to take a car or public transport to get there, you just open your laptop and – voila!”
“Cool. Build me one of those,” he said.
Of course, our digital houses may be a bit out of his league. I am specialized in Salesforce, the world’s leading CRM platform. We help clients harness their number one asset – customers. Most of the setup can be done with out-of-the-box configuration rather than code which makes it fast-paced. Often, it only takes three weeks after a client asks for a feature until it is built and released. Having such a momentum is rewarding and fun.
However, every assignment has its challenges and rewards, but I dare say that implementation at TV4 Media has been a special project, and I am still part of it after five years! The reason why I find it so special is that the broadcasting industry’s shift into the digital era has come with big challenges, and the landscape of communication and advertisement is in complete transformation. It is exciting being part of the journey and being able to help our customers take the leap into this new world.
