My day usually starts with a daily stand-up with the team, a mix of Accenture and client security professionals. The day can go in many different directions after that, as we work with other teams in different disciplines from developers, testers, administrators to specialist in different subjects where we support with our skills within information security.
We work with PCI, GDPR, and other security requirements, supporting everything from tools in stores to backend systems, databases and the like as well as supporting moving resources from on-premises to cloud environments. We work closely with other security teams in operations, tooling, networking, and cloud security. New technologies and cross-competence collaboration between teams are part of the daily business.
What I like about Accenture is that it is a modern and open company with lots of exciting opportunities for development. But what really sets it apart for me is the people, all the amazing colleagues you get to work with. People with different backgrounds, nationalities, cultures, and so on. The brightest and most helpful people you will probably ever get to know. I have never felt so welcome at a workplace as when I started at Accenture.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I also play both video and boardgames (sometimes with Accenture Play) as well as nerding out on series and films.
