Previously when being staffed in Stockholm, I often commuted bi-weekly from Gothenburg which was great fun as I got the best of two cities. Right now, my client is located in my hometown but due to the pandemic, we work completely remote.
My day usually starts with a daily stand-up where our team sync about current progress and identify potential blockers, then there is a daily review meeting with all teams for quality assurance of new features or changes being deployed to the Salesforce platform. Then I work on my assigned stories for the current sprint which can be anything from configuring features in the interface, interviewing the client’s staff or improving project documentation.
What I personally really enjoy about working at Accenture is many IF activities. My favorite memory is when I got the opportunity to sail a 50 foot sailboat in Stockholm for an evening which IF Sailing arranged by renting this boat, a very pedagogic skipper and instructor, making it possible for both non-sailors as well as transatlantic pros to experience the beautiful archipelago of Stockholm together.
I also enjoy the continuous learning opportunities at Accenture as there are often possibilities for learning new skills or acquiring professional certificates. A fantastic experience I had was the analyst school outside of London a year after I started where analysts from all over Europe gathered in teams to sharpen our business communication, analyzing skills, and technology proficiency as well as having a really fun time making new friends within the company.
The two things I am the most passionate about are music and outdoors activities. So in my spare time, I really like to have jam sessions with my friends and play music, be it a smooth indie rock groove or a deep electronica/techno vibe. Experiencing the ocean by sailing, having a few drinks at sunset in the archipelago of Gothenburg, or hiking up summits in the fells in the north is also a fantastic feeling that I gladly spend time and money on when I get the opportunity.
