The mission statement of Global Services Legal is to “drive sustainable business growth for Accenture by providing deep legal expertise at the intersection of business strategy, industry and technology in a highly dynamic environment.” The Global Services Legal team is a strategic partner and a product counsel towards the four Services under Accenture’s Next Generation Growth Model, i.e., Interactive, Strategy & Consulting, Technology and Operations.
This team also functions as the integrator between various other parts of the Legal team, coordinating between the multidisciplinary areas of deep expertise across the wider Legal team, to deliver one holistic Legal perspective to the business.
The Global Services Legal team is seeking to appoint a Services Counsel in support of the Solutions Legal team within the Assets & Solutions Legal Group.
The candidate should have a comprehensive understanding of the legal/regulatory environment of Accenture’s Assets and Solutions to ensure our clients can do business responsibly in compliance across our global markets.
In-house, public sector and private practice candidates will all be considered, but experience of working with international teams in a global business, supporting technology, and taking products and services to market are highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaboratively work with Solutions leads in Accenture’s Assets & Solutions business team in a global role to support our central platform for solutions and technology assets, supporting changes to the platform and related processes based on business goals and new emerging issues.
- Help build Solutions Legal support by developing and nurturing a network of working relationships with clients and support functions across our Assets & Solutions organization as well as with peer lawyers in Global Services Legal, Regulatory and Compliance, Government Relations and Contracting Legal groups.
- Directly advise on legal issues: prepare risk reviews, draft clear and concise guidelines, communication messages, guidance, templates, and training for sales and go to market teams, development teams, technical teams and legal colleagues.
- Provide Solutions SME legal advice and drafting assistance to other lawyers/SMEs engaged in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating complex client and partner agreements.
- Support the Solutions business and Accenture’s Ventures & Acquisitions business and legal teams in the evaluation of prospective acquisition targets and development and implementation of post-merger integration strategy.
- Take on special projects or assignments outside of the Solutions Counsel role as needed for Global Services Legal, Assets & Solutions or other teams needing our support.
- Lead the continued standardization of the asset and solution review processes across GSL, including entry points, update triggers, and scope of review.
- Build and guide a culture within Assets & Solutions development teams of working with legal, risk understanding – especially with key leadership teams.
Qualifications
Knowledge Skills and Experience
- Minimum 12 years relevant experience in a multinational corporate or law firm setting advising clients at an international, multi-jurisdictional level. Experience and education in common law jurisdictions would be a plus.
- Experience in analyzing complex facts, using judgment developed through experience, to spot risks and recommend mitigations.
- Refined executive communication skills and a track record of developing trusted relationships with senior business leaders.
- Deep understanding of commercial and transactional issues, especially intellectual property and data privacy.
- Contractual experience, including highly developed drafting and negotiation skills as well as shaping and evaluation of commercial models for GTM of complex combinations of services and technology assets (including hardware).
- Experience in capital projects would be a plus for the right candidate.
- Understanding and willingness to learn applicable regulatory landscapes as required, on a global basis.
- Experience identifying areas of overlap and a well-developed skill at concision, minimizing duplication of effort, and developing efficient collaboration models where assets or offerings have multiple business stakeholders across different Services and Industries.

Education and Qualifications
- Education: Law degree (JD or local equivalent) from a top law school.
- Additional business education, especially an MBA, would be desirable.
- Qualification: bar admission, in good standing.
