Christian Giana

Finance Transformation Director - Amadeus

Christian joined Amadeus in 1989 as Finance Manager for the R&D subsidiary of the group, based in Sophia Antipolis, France.
 

Christian holds a Master’s degree in Finance and Accounting from the ESA in Grenoble and the Legal and Taxes Certificate for the Diploma of French Chartered Accountants. He is a member of the Board of the French Association for Finance Executives (DFCG).
 

He began his career in an audit firm in Nice, France, and also spent 6 years with Dow Corning, in Sophia Antipolis, where he held various positions in the Finance and the Health Care Business Europe area.
 

Christian was appointed Finance Director in January 2001, responsible for the Finance Division in Sophia Antipolis site as well as being in charge of Financial Controlling for the worldwide R&D activities of Amadeus.
 

During the next 15 years, as the activity of Amadeus was steadily expanding in size, business diversification and geographical presence -the R&D center in Sophia Antipolis reached 5,000 employees - he has been involved in several large projects, including in particular the set-up of new R&D centers around the world, the largest one being opened in 2012 in Bangalore, India.
 

In 2015, reporting to Amadeus Group CFO, he was appointed Program Director of Global Finance Template, a large transformational redesign of the Finance processes, systems and organization for Amadeus Finance worldwide. In 2017, two other programs, Order-to-Cash and Corporate Project Portfolio Mgt, were also grouped under his responsibility to form the worldwide Finance Transformation Program of Amadeus, largely built on SAP/4 Hana suite of Financial, Reporting, Billing and Portfolio Management (PPM) applications.
 

The first pilot migration of a group of companies in USA and Central America was performed successfully in July 2018, followed by the main migration milestone of another group of larger Amadeus companies covering three continents, and including the headquarter company in Spain, that happened in January 2019.

In 2016, Dr. Hermann Schuster became Head of IT and CDO at Arlanxeo, a global manufacturer of synthetic rubber with 4000 employees and 3.2 billion sales.
 

Before joining Arlanxeo, he worked in different IT and Controlling management positions at Bayer and Lanxess. 
 

He graduated with a degree in Business Administration and Chemical Engineering and completed a PhD in Business Administration at the University of Stuttgart, Germany.

Alex Atzberger

Alex Atzberger leads SAP’s customer relationship management (CRM) business unit. In June 2018, SAP C/4HANA was launched under his leadership, an integrated suite of solutions for customer experience, marking a strategic move on behalf of the company to win market share in the CRM space. In this role, Alex is also responsible for the integration of Callidus, Gigya, and CoreSystems into SAP.
 

Prior to his current role, Alex was President of SAP Ariba, the world’s largest, most global business network. Under his leadership, the business more than doubled in size and the brand became synonymous with Alex’s vision to #MakeProcurementAwesome. A 13-year veteran of SAP, Alex also worked as Chief of Staff to SAP CEO Bill McDermott and ran SAP’s China Growth Plan and Fast Growth Market business from Shanghai.
 

Over the course of his career Alex developed a passion for driving mission-driven growth. His international background has attuned him to be a believer in diversity and the benefits of global business. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Finance and International Business from New York University’s Leonard Stern School of Business. In 2013, Alex was selected as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum. He lives with his wife and dogs in New York City.

Adaire Fox-Martin

Executive Board Member – SAP SE, Global Customer Operations Lead – SAP

Adaire Fox-Martin is a member of the Executive Board of SAP SE, leading Global Customer Operations. She spearheads SAP’s business in EMEA, MEE and Greater China with a resolute focus on the success of over 135,000 customers. Adaire works closely with development and support leaders while overseeing SAP’s industry go-to-market efforts and field execution, which she leads in tandem with Jennifer Morgan. Adaire is passionate about helping customers realize greater business value through technology. She maintains an unwavering commitment to the company’s vision of helping the world run better and improving people’s lives.
 

Adaire was most recently president of SAP’s business in APJ, where she ran the company’s multi-functional sales and operations organizations. Her inspirational, authentic and empathetic leadership style served as the foundation for the company’s success across the region and put SAP on the list of the Top 10 Best Multinational Workplaces in Asia for two years in a row. She worked closely with all APJ market units to build a strong pipeline and solid sales execution, and to reignite a spirit of teamwork across the region where SAP was ranked #6 by the Great Place to Work Institute in April 2017.
 

Prior to that, Adaire was chief operating officer of SAP APJ. Before this role, she was senior vice president for Industry Business Solutions, where she was responsible for defining SAP’s strategy for long-term industry investment and the industry go-to-market for APJ. She joined the company as the head of Public Sector for APJ in 2008 from Oracle Corp. In total her career in the IT sector spans more than a quarter century, including leadership positions across APJ and Europe in sales, business development, consulting, and education.
 

A graduate of Ireland’s prestigious Trinity College, Adaire is a respected thought leader and a frequent speaker at seminars and conferences. She is regularly featured and quoted in publications across multiple geographies as a passionate advocate of workplace inclusivity and fulfillment.
 

In 2017 and 2018, she was named to Fortune Magazine’s Top 50 Most Powerful Women International List. She champions SAP’s One Billion Lives (1BL) project, an initiative to improve the lives of one billion people around the world. A winner of the SAP Asia Pacific Japan (APJ) Distinguished Leader Award, Adaire embodies SAP’s leadership principles: ensuring customer success, driving simplicity, and developing amazing talent.
 

Jennifer Morgan

Co-CEO, SAP

Jennifer Morgan is responsible for SAP’s strategy, revenue and customer success in the Americas and Asia Pacific Japan, regions encompassing more than 43,000 employees and nearly 230,000 customers. Jennifer was appointed to the SAP Executive Board in 2017, and, together with Adaire Fox-Martin, leads SAP’s Global Customer Operations. She is a principal driver of SAP’s growth and innovation strategies, and works closely with SAP’s development and support leaders to ensure consistent execution of sales and customer operations in the more than 130 countries where the company operates.
 

Prior to being named to the SAP Executive Board, Jennifer served as president of SAP North America, where she led the region’s rapid shift to the cloud, sharpened the focus on growth and innovation for more than 155,000 customers, and helped preserve a culture that earned SAP North America its first ever listing on Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work For. Jennifer was also instrumental in the region securing its place as a leader in the areas of diversity and inclusion through programs like Autism at Work, and particularly the company’s receipt of EDGE certification – a recognition awarded by the World Economic Forum recognizing the company’s commitment to gender equality and equal pay in the workplace.
 

Jennifer has served in several other leadership roles for SAP since joining the company in 2004. As head of SAP North America’s public sector organization, and later as president of its Regulated Industries business unit, she was a recognized thought-leader on government and public sector technology innovation, represented SAP to the U.S. Government, and testified before the United States Congress on technology and acquisition issues. Earlier in her career, Jennifer served in various management roles at Siebel Systems, and Accenture.
 

Jennifer has been named one of Fortune Magazine’s Most Powerful Women in Business and by Forbes as one of the Most Powerful Women in the World and Technology. She is a proud graduate of the James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Jennifer serves on the Board of Directors of the Bank of New York Mellon, a global leader in investment management and investment services, as well as on the non-profit board of the National Academy Foundation (NAF) and the Board of Advisors at James Madison University’s College of Business.

HSBC’s simpler, better, faster HR services

HSBC have recently completed a significant phase in their HR Transformation, going live in August 2018 with an SAP-SuccessFactors HR suite in over 64 countries, across 230,000 staff and 55,000 contractors. This included the implementation of a new data model, global processes, reporting capability, HR portal, knowledge management and case management tools. The deployment was unprecedented for HSBC, their partners, and the market in terms of size, scale and complexity. The go-live was considered a success with over 260,000 unique users to the new systems in the first three months, however the process to get there wasn’t without challenges or the deployment without teething issues. HSBC will share their journey and their experiences of the last three years, including insights around lessons learned.

Re-inventing IT with S/4HANA—Building a scalable IT architecture and organization to become business innovation partner

With 4000 employees and €3.2 billion sales, ARLANXEO is a key global player in the development, manufacture and marketing of high-performance rubber. Formed as a joint venture between LANXESS and Saudi Aramco in 2016, ARLANXEO has been fully owned by Saudi Aramco since April 2018.

 

During this session, Dr. Hermann Schuster, Head of IT and CDO at ARLANXEO, will share the company’s roadmap for separation from LANXESS and the digitization of operations in its two business units and 20 plants in nine countries.

 

The roadmap for future growth and full separation by 2021 will see ARLANXEO adopting SAP S/4HANA as its ERP core and digital enablement platform. Hear how ARLANXEO is targeting harmonized business processes, improved business partner integration and a lean, future proof IT application architecture across core processes including production, supply chain and logistics and B2B marketing and sales.

Enabling innovation and insight: Carlsberg’s transition to the Microsoft Azure public cloud

The Carlsberg Group is one of the leading brewery groups in the world today, with a large portfolio of beer and other beverage brands. More than 40,000 people work for the Carlsberg Group, and their products are sold in more than 150 markets.

 

Accenture and Avanade worked closely with Microsoft and SAP to help Carlsberg transition its core infrastructure and business-critical applications to the Microsoft Azure public cloud in less than six months. The move provides Carlsberg with a modernized, dynamic and agile platform for its enterprise solutions, enabling digital innovation and helping the company gain more visibility into its IT operations. The transition covered more than 150 terabytes of data on 600 servers and 200 applications that serve more than 10,000 employees, including the whole SAP application suite. In this session, Jawaz Illavia, head of commercial and digital technology services for Carlsberg will reveal some of the lessons learned along the way.
