About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated FS Technology Consultant - Murex FO/BO to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality solutions and supporting the Front Office Murex functions for our clients This position requires a strong understanding of financial markets, Front Office processes, and the technical aspects of the Murex system.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Analysis:
Gather, analyze, and document requirements from Front Office stakeholders.
Translate business needs into functional specifications for system configuration and custom development.
Conduct workshops with stakeholders to validate requirements and identify potential improvements.
Solution Design and Configuration:
Configure and customize the Murex platform to support Front Office workflows, pricing, and risk management.
Collaborate with developers to design and implement bespoke solutions where necessary.
Ensure solutions align with industry best practices and client-specific needs.
Performance Optimization:
Proficiency in optimizing Murex performance for large-scale data processing and real-time trade execution.
Experience in troubleshooting performance issues and implementing best practices for efficient system operation.
Technical Expertise:
Collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Front Office operations.
Understand and manage Murex's key modules, including Pricing, Market Data, Simulation, and Risk.
Work with databases, scripting, and APIs for integration and data management tasks.
Stakeholder Management:
Act as the primary point of contact between the Front Office and IT teams.
Provide training and support to end-users, ensuring smooth adoption of system changes.
Maintain clear communication with stakeholders, managing expectations and providing regular updates.
Required Skills and Experience:
Technical Proficiency:
Strong experience (at least 5 years) with the Murex platform, particularly in Front Office modules
Must have in-depth experience in Murex Front Office configuration.
Knowledge of Pre-Trade rules
Pricing, closing and booking sequences
Dynamic layouts and Look-up tables
E-pad booking (contract vs package vs free booking), FDI Templates, pricing patterns, dealing formats.
Trade lifecycle management (events, payments, fixings etc.)
EOD, EOM, EOY processes (e.g PL Sell-down process)
Access rights, STP rights, OSP management, Dynamic Tables and Reporting
Proficiency in key Murex areas including static data setup, curves , structuring , simulations , live book , RBPL , e-trade pad configuration, pre-trade development, and P&L attribution , reporting , Market risk configuration (stress testing , VAR , taylor , FRTB , SIMM) .
Expertise in simulation/live book views, functional requirement gathering, and functional support for Front Office and Middle Office end-users.
Proficiency in SQL, Unix, and at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Shell).
Domain Expertise:
In-depth understanding of financial markets, trading workflows, and financial instruments
Familiarity with market data providers and pricing methodologies.
Business Analysis Skills:
Proven ability to elicit, document, and validate business requirements.
Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
