The work
Hello! Nice to have you here, we know you’re busy, so we’ll keep it short. We are looking for a Strategic Innovation intern to join the Advisory team within the Design & Digital Products practice. Here, we create new and reimagine existing products and services. We are part of Accenture’s creative engine called Accenture Song, where we combine creativity, technology, and business insights to create experiences that drive real impact.
Team: As a Strategic Innovation intern, you’ll join a fun-loving team of bold creatives, designers, technologists, strategists and engineers who are working together to turn possibilities into reality. We help our clients solve problems and seize opportunities by envisioning, shaping and launching innovative products and services that people love – fueling experiences that improve lives and make lasting impact. Collaborate with our Advisory consultants to focus on creating a product and service strategy that is informed by customer needs, business and industry viability, and technology feasibility.
Daily tasks: On a daily basis, the following can be expected:
In this role, your main job is writing your master thesis in the relevant domain of Strategic Design and Digital Innovation. In doing so, you’ll be supported by the dedicated people in our team;
Conduct research and gain experience within the Design & Digital Products practice, you might find a way to contribute to our practice through internal initiatives;
Get the opportunity to present your results to our team and others within the organization at fixed times;
Together with the other interns, you’ll be challenged to add value to Accenture Song by coming up with your own company-wide project;
Gain experience as a consultant within Accenture by applying academic knowledge in a business context and develop practical skills that will help shape your future career.
Research: We'll collaborate with you to define a thesis topic that is aligned with our business needs, but most importantly, that interests and motivates you! For example, a topic can be focused on:
- Growth and innovation strategy
- Proposition design
- AI generative design
Song Talent Factory (STF)
As part of your internship, you will also take part in Song Talent Factory. This program will be leading you through your path at Accenture Song and will provide additional engagements, activities and projects to enhance your intern experience. Being part of the Song Talent Factory, you will:
Get professional guidance on finding the next step in your career;
Get expert support on your thesis topic while leveraging all Accenture resources;
Be part of one Song program where you are required to collaborate with other interns at Accenture Song from our different offerings (Commerce, Design & Digital Product Creation, Marketing and Consumer Services);
Work on a large internship long consulting project together with your STF group. This will allow you to not just get a glimpse of one of the four capabilities, but you will really get to see everything Accenture Song has to offer;
Be part of the Accenture Song community through companywide and intern specific engagement events
Enjoy the wide variety of training opportunities;
From building an app for coffee catch-ups to dinners after work, the Song Talent Factory will make your experience at Accenture Song even more enjoyable!

Qualifications
Here's what you'll need
We expect the following qualifications and qualities from a thesis intern:
Be enrolled at a master’s program in a Dutch university; preferably in the area of strategic product design, innovation management, strategic entrepreneurship, business administration or business economics.
Proactive, independent work ethic with a collaborative mindset.
You have an affinity for innovation, business strategy, and design thinking.
You like talking about innovative startups and technological innovations.
Eagerness to grow, learn, and contribute to a dynamic environment.
You are passionate about trying out new things and experimenting with new tools and methods rather than focusing on best practices.
Combine strong strategic, analytical and problem-solving skills with creative approaches and can translate insights into actionable strategies.
Proficiency in Dutch and English.
