Job Title: Data Center Engineer / Data Center Operations | For Pooling

Job Summary: We are building a talent pool of skilled Data Center professionals to support various infrastructure, operations, and network management roles across industries. Candidates will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of data center environments. Applicants will be considered for multiple opportunities and may be reprofiled to other open positions that align with their skills and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Center Infrastructure Management:
Maintain and monitor data center facilities, including power, cooling, and security systems.
Perform hardware installation, upgrades, and maintenance for servers, storage, and networking equipment.
Ensure compliance with data center policies, industry standards, and operational best practices.
2. Server Administration & Virtualization:
Manage and maintain physical and virtual servers (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, etc.).
Configure and optimize Linux and Windows servers for performance and reliability.
Automate deployments and infrastructure provisioning using Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools.
3. Network & Security Operations:
Configure and troubleshoot switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto, etc.).
Implement security policies, network segmentation, and firewall rules.
Monitor and respond to security threats and vulnerabilities in the data center environment.
4. Storage & Backup Management:
Manage SAN/NAS storage solutions (NetApp, Dell EMC, HPE, Pure Storage, etc.).
Implement data backup and disaster recovery strategies using Veeam, Commvault, or similar tools.
Optimize storage performance, capacity planning, and data retention policies.
5. Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure Support:
Support cloud-based data center operations on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Implement hybrid cloud solutions and manage connectivity between on-prem and cloud environments.
Optimize cloud resource utilization and ensure cost-effective operations.
6. Monitoring & Incident Management:
Utilize monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds, or Prometheus to track system health.
Respond to incidents, troubleshoot performance issues, and document resolution steps.
Implement ITIL-based change management and incident response best practices.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience:
Experience: Minimum 3-10+ years in data center operations, infrastructure management, or network administration.
Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with servers, storage, networking, and virtualization technologies.
Security & Compliance: Understanding of security protocols, disaster recovery, and regulatory compliance standards.
Automation & Scripting: Familiarity with PowerShell, Python, or Bash scripting for automation.
Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
Preferred Certifications:
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher (CCNP, CCIE).
VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or similar virtualization certification.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Administrator Associate.
Data Center Design Specialist (DCDS) or equivalent certification.
ITIL Foundation Certification for IT Service Management.
