How I put change in motion

After a decade in the Indian Air Force securing highly-sensitive data, I took a decision to retire from the highly-disciplined and close-knit life in the armed forces to experience the fast-paced global exposure I could get from an organization like Accenture.

 

At Accenture, I help devise strategies to increase business resilience against cyber threats. Today, the biggest barrier to cloud technology adoption, is security. Having won my spurs dealing with extremely sensitive data, I am very clued into its vulnerabilities. This helps me proactively devise ways to build secure configurations. Accenture’s focus on continuous learning is sure to help me upskill to handle complex projects in the future.

 

At Accenture, I find the friendly and supportive work culture most heartening. My seniors actively encourage the team to speak their mind and express their opinions. It is also a delight to find how the inclusive culture at Accenture has provided fulfilling second careers for veterans. In fact, I feel passionately about the huge talent of highly- qualified professionals who retire routinely every month from the tri-services. A day in my life

Covid made me discover the gardener in me. I have created a terrace garden which I tend to first thing every morning before taking a routine walk. My work starts a little late since my client is in the Middle East. A catch-up call every morning ensures our energies are focused in the right direction.

 

Weekends are now planned and free. This is when I meet friends and family, cook and watch the latest shows and movies on OTT platforms. I hope to revive my adventurous streak soon. As a defense personnel, I’ve participated in all-women car rallies, done solo para jumps and completed the challenging 10-day Pin Parvati trek in Himachal’s Spiti Valley.
