Job Description

The Advanced Technology Centers Global Network M+C team is seeking a dynamic, creative and driven individual with a strong background in professional services or technology marketing and communications.

As part of the team’s Strategic Positioning, Narratives and Content unit, the Specialist will be supporting both internal and external marketing and communications initiatives to effectively position the Tech Centers with our people, clients and various business stakeholders.

This role requires a proactive marketer and communicator who can effectively influence and collaborate across Accenture. You must be able to quickly understand, analyze and communicate technology business narratives and trends and enjoy working in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.  

Position Description & Responsibilities

While there is never a typical day at Accenture—and that’s the beauty of it—here’s what you can expect to do as part of the role: 

  • Strategic positioning: Brainstorm ideas with colleagues and help plan, develop and implement marketing and communications initiatives that build Accenture’s Global Tech Centers differentiation and position in the market among employees, clients and key business stakeholders.
  • Storytelling and content creation: Craft compelling messaging that brings to life our value proposition and differentiation. This may entail conducting in-depth research, developing client testimonials, leveraging and customizing iconic thought leadership, and creating go-to-market creative assets such as presentations, infographics and videos.  
  • Multi-channel messaging: Plan and produce content for internal and external communications across various channels including e-mail, videos, blogs, social media and accenture.com, ensuring consistent and effective messaging.
  • Collaborate across business: Liaise and work closely with writers, designers, other teams and external vendors to source information and deliver high-quality content aligned to business objectives.
  • Client visit experience and office branding: Develop impactful copy for physical and digital branding assets to enhance client visits and events.
  • Event communications and management: Support communications for Accenture-owned and third-party events, including invitations and web page development. Help oversee event execution and coordination while working with cross-functional teams.
  • Metrics and reporting: Provide up-to-date reporting on the progress of marketing campaigns and programs, including metrics, achievements and budgets.
  • Workflow tools and management: Leverage relevant tools to manage workflows and support strategic planning, marketing operations, budgeting and reporting.  

Qualifications

Experience

  • Post-graduate degree required in marketing, communications, brand marketing or related.
  • 5-7 years experience in marketing with strong background in content development. They should be comfortable putting pen to paper to develop content. Should have an interest in learning about emerging technologies and how they can bring value to clients.
  • Ideal candidate should have experience in technology business marketing related to cloud, AI, metaverse, cybersecurity, next-generation computing, or space or science tech.
  • Experience in the technology industry and for a large, global organization is highly desirable.

  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to digest and de-jargonize complex topics and to communicate them simply and persuasively
  • Ability to craft and carry a narrative in clear and accessible language through both short and long-form pieces
  • Versatile writing skills with a human approach across various channels
  • Effective organizational and time management skills for meeting tight deadlines and communicating status on concurrent projects
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills in a professional setting
  • Agile, flexible and can work independently in a virtual environment, sometimes in the office and to travel if required
  • Willingness to participate in meetings outside of regular business hours to accommodate other time zones
  • Sensitivity to the cultural variances across different countries

Sample Writing Assignments

1. Write a memo from Accenture’s Chief Technology Officer to all employees, announcing the launch of Accenture’s Technology Vision 2024. The memo should mention the key findings and encourage employees to absorb the report to understand its implications for their work. The memo should be no longer than 300 words.

Conversely, draft an engaging press release announcing the publication of the report. Provide a catchy headline and lede and end with an inspiring conclusion for business readers. The article should not go beyond 300 words.

2. Using the research report “Reinvention in the age of generative AI,” customize social media posts for different audiences:

  • LinkedIn Post: Create a post for a professional audience that highlights the strategic insights from the report and invites discussion on how Gen AI can transform industries.
  • Twitter Post: Craft a tweet that captures attention with a key statistic or finding from the report, using hashtags to increase visibility.
  • Instagram Story: Design a visual story that summarizes one of the "Five Imperatives for the Age of Generative AI" mentioned in the report, using concise text and providing suggestions for engaging visuals.
