Summary: As a Software Development Engineer, you will analyze, design, code, and test multiple components of application code across one or more clients. You will perform maintenance, enhancements, and development work. Your typical day will involve analyzing requirements, designing software solutions, writing code, and conducting testing to ensure the quality of the application. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform. - Responsible for team decisions. - Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions. - Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams. - Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand business needs. - Design and develop software solutions based on the requirements. - Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code. - Conduct unit testing and debugging to ensure the quality of the software. - Collaborate with QA teams to ensure proper testing and bug fixing. - Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback. - Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends. - Mentor junior team members and provide guidance and support. - Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Oracle Retail Xstore Point of Service (POS). - Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices. - Experience in analyzing, designing, and developing software applications. - Knowledge of database concepts and SQL. - Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN. - Good To Have Skills: Experience with Java programming language. - Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. - Experience with retail industry and point of sale systems. - Knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. - Understanding of software testing and quality assurance processes. Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 7.5 years of experience in Oracle Retail Xstore Point of Service (POS). - This position is based at our Indore office. - A 15 years full-time education is required.
