What would you do? Improve workforce performance and productivity, boosts business agility, increases revenue and reduces costs • The Sr. Claims Analyst provides day-to-day expertise, education, and administration on all leave of absence cases, STD, Parental Leave, State Programs for the company. Effectively coordinates and ensures timely execution of all programs in compliance with company policies, state and federal regulations. Employee Services - More into query/case management Employment and Labor Law encompasses the relationships among unions, employers, and employees. Labor laws grant employees in certain sectors the right to unionize and allow employers and employees to engage in certain workplace-related activities in order to further their demands for changes in the employer-employee relationship. Employment law, on the other hand, is defined more broadly as the negotiated relationships between employers and employees.
What are we looking for? •Written and verbal communication •• Knowledge of leave requirements and Federal and State laws including FMLA, ADA and Workers’ Compensation • Must possess minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources or leave administration • Strong customer service, organizational and analytical skills; demonstrate effective time management, computer, and decision-making skills; and be able to successfully work independently. • Excellent verbal and written communication • Certified Leave Management Specialist (CLMS) certification preferred •• Workday and absence management system experience preferred • Call center experience preferred • Ticketing/case system experience preferred • Supports Supervisor/Director and team by communicating expectations and enforcing policies and procedures and serves as a backup liaison between third party administrator and the client •• Internal: Region HR Business Leaders, Area HRD, Support Office HR, Total Rewards, Legal, Risk Management, Safety, Frontline Leaders, Managers and Associates • External: Third Party Vendors, Third Party Administrator and Consultants • Remote: This role is fully remote, and the associate is expected to perform assigned responsibilities from a home-based environment.
Roles and Responsibilities: •In this role you are required to solve routine problems, largely through precedent and referral to general guidelines • Your expected interactions are within your own team and direct supervisor • You will be provided detailed to moderate level of instruction on daily work tasks and detailed instruction on new assignments • The decisions that you make would impact your own work • You will be an individual contributor as a part of a team, with a predetermined, focused scope of work • Please note that this role may require you to work in rotational shifts • Serves as the subject matter expert for all leave programs in alignment and under the general direction and guidance of leadership and Counsel • Assist in the coordination of training and development for HR Leave Services team • Maintain leave of absence policies, procedure and job aids in central repository • Provide advice, training and consults with managers and associates on documents, processes, State programs and legal requirements for leave of absence, return to work options and the interactive process • Troubleshoots complex case management in partnership with Counsel • Responsible for researching, making recommendations for leave of absence policies and procedures, to ensure compliance with Federal and State laws • Resolve any absence management software application issues • Stay up to date on new state programs and work with Counsel to determine impact and assist with administering for company • Provide training to management on understanding leave of absence processes, reports, plan changes and new regulations • Oversee operational aspects of leave processes in the absence of Supervisor/Director • Perform other duties as assigned
