Training Session and Protection Equipment Help Healthcare Workers Support Patients and Vulnerable People in India.
Accenture is partnering with both Oxfam India and Charities Aid Foundation to empower those in India who fight the COVID-19 pandemic at the frontlines. So far, Oxfam has served more than 70,000 people.
The support includes digital training sessions via video conferencing. Enabled by Accenture, Ofxam has been training community workers on the disease, how to prevent it and practice hygiene methods. Community workers in turn have been educating the communities in which with they work. Awareness sessions have also been initiated through mobile vans as well as through local media.
Accenture, Oxfam and Charities Aid Foundation also provide personal protection kits to doctors, nurses and sanitation workers. Each kit contains masks and face shields, protection suits, gloves and hand sanitizers. They have been distributed in hospitals and other places in the states of Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, National Capital Region, Karnataka and Kerala as well as Gurgaon and Delhi.
