Technology Strategy & Advisory a key part of our growing Strategy & Consulting service. Our Enterprise Architecture Practice
Enterprise Architecture is a specialisation within our Technology Strategy and Advisory practice, spanning across UK & Ireland businesses with people who cultivate deep expertise in their fields. We advise CIOs and help businesses design their future Architectures, transform their Technology & Operating Models, IT Workforce, Scale Agile Ways of Working, and adopt leading Engineering Practices. We support our clients from definition of a strategy through to defining how it will be implemented.
The Opportunity for You
As a Technology Strategy and Advisory Consultant, you will gain exposure to solving challenging client problems, leveraging deep industry strategy knowledge and technology expertise across our global network. You will be involved in:
- Collaborating with industry and business specialists to develop comprehensive technology and IT strategies
- Assisting our clients to establish and implement a vision, a roadmap and governance to address today’s business needs and support future growth
- Identifying where our clients can leverage IT for greatest strategic impact and defining target IT architectures that supports business needs and reduce costs
- Identifying and advising on the most suitable frameworks, operating models and technologies to adopt
- Coach clients on adopting agile practices, operating model modernisation and technology solutions
- Analysing industry context, interviewing key client stakeholders, building and facilitating client workshops, and ensuring a fact-based approach to developing strategy
- Developing detailed and actionable business cases and plans
- Contributing to our thought leadership, as you gain additional experience working at the intersect of business and technology

Qualifications
Qualifications & Background:
We are looking for experienced technology practitioners and coaches who can develop and nurture long-term client relationships, become key contributors within multidisciplinary cross-functional project teams, embrace diversity and inclusion, and are creative thinkers with a passion for transforming enterprise technology organisations.
- Experience of 2+ years in the area of technology transformation or delivery as part of leading technology organisation.
- Ability to translate complex IT concepts and architectures into simple stories, adopting buy in from clients from technical and non-technical backgrounds.
- Personal and professional attributes required to convince senior leadership to take bold actions and coach them through major change.
- Ability to build lasting relationships with clients and colleagues and cultivate mentoring relationships with others willing to become technology advisors.
- First class written and verbal communication skills covering diagramming, process map creation, running workshops, and reporting based on the audience.
- Condense needs & wants in the form of complex concepts into documented requirements for prioritisation
- Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment.
Desirable:
- BA, BSc or MSc qualified, preferably in an engineering, technology or business-related discipline
- Experience within the Financial Services, Resources (Energy & Utilities), Software or Products (Consumer Goods & Services, Retail) industries
- Proven experience in defining and delivering impactful, effective, and pragmatic transformation strategies
- Knowledge of, and passion for, business and technology trends such as AI, microservices, Containers, APIs, Blockchain, ZBx, Platform Business Models, RegTech, Big Data, Internet of Things
- Experience in one or more of the following:
- coaching teams to become more agile and adopting Agile delivery metrics
- architecting operating model change, workforce transformation, or product management
- shaping enterprise architectures to meet business strategy
- modern engineering practices
- ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) and/or PPM (Project and Portfolio Management) tools
- Business Process Mapping & Diagramming tooling (e.g. Visio, ARIS, UML)
- Certifications on:
- Architecture (e.g. TOGAF, TOG Certified Architect, DAMA Data Management)
- Cloud practitioner for leading cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure, Salesforce, Oracle, SAP)
- Service Management (SIAM, ITIL)
- SAFe, LeSS or other Agile frameworks
