Infrastructure Security Support Engineer

Job Description

As an Infrastructure Security Support Specialist, you will be responsible for troubleshooting security issues and implementing security measures of our clients' infrastructure security systems. You will work closely with our IT and security teams to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our clients' systems and data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot security issues escalated by the L2 team, and ensure timely solutions.

  • Assist in the support and maintenance of clients' infrastructure security systems.

  • Help investigate and resolve security incidents, including malware infections and network intrusions, for our clients.

  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption technologies, for clients.

  • Conduct basic security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential risks for clients.

  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to develop and implement security policies and procedures for clients.

  • Monitor security logs and alerts to detect potential threats to clients' systems.

  • Provide support to senior team members and learn from their expertise in delivering security services to clients.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, technologies, and best practices to better serve our clients.

Qualifications

Role Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in infrastructure security or a related field.

  • Basic knowledge of security technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and encryption.

  • Experience with Fortinet security solutions.

  • Familiarity with security assessment tools and techniques.

  • Basic scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell) are a plus.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, SSCP, or CEH are a plus.

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is an advantage but not required.

  • Good command of English
