Role Overview:
The Digital Operations Manager is responsible for delivering all MY program plans within the Global Editing team. As a team they are responsible for some of our clients biggest global projects working across 28 market websites, in 22 languages, across 4 brands, a total of 112 websites. They will work in partnership with a variety of other teams from Operations to Project Management and Market Management across our global offices. The role will have a cross-located team based across Birmingham and Mumbai and therefore being able to manage offshore teams will be essential. A strong relationship for this is critical and may involve overseas travel.
Working alongside the Technology Manager and Dx Ops lead they will be they will be responsible for long term planning of Global projects ensuring that we can identify both technical and resource conflicts ahead of time. Day to day managing the Team leads to ensure projects are on track and escalating conflicts and providing solutions where possible. Providing clear project status updates to the Ops team. While advising on capacity constraints and proactively looking at solutions to meet client requests. Be the Lead contact for editing within the ART team and a primary contact for clients across ART and ITG for project alignments.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of large-scale content projects, ensuring effective planning, seamless execution, and robust risk management.
- Collaborating closely with various teams including Operations, and Program managers on QBR forecasting.
- Lead the resource team and teams leads geographically dispersed located across Birmingham and Mumbai, retaining project statuses and providing updates to the Content Operations Director and Ops team.
- Lead on reviewing upcoming global projects and advising on work effort for estimates and OOHs approval.
- Lead for both the ART team and JLR internal Editors (Grads) on a resource overview and ensuring project alignment across teams.
- Collaborate closely with various teams including Operations, Project Management, and Market Management to ensure a cohesive approach across all markets.
- Ensure that the embargo process is in place and strictly followed and executed via the associated teams at each stage.
- Supporting both Digital and Ops Director in the production of any client facing information such as status updates for Digital Operations meetings.
- Identify areas for efficiencies across the teams as well as providing feedback across wider teams during project wash ups. Providing feedback to the Technology Manger where necessary.
- Lead on maintaining quality assurance across the team, as well as ensuring all team documentation is maintained.
- Attend project kick offs, advising on project plans and technical requests.
- Working closely with Team Leads and Senior QAs to ensure we are launch ready and publishing plans maintained for client’s view.
- Working closely with the Content Operations Director on team management, overseeing team trainings, admin and recruitment needs

Experience/Skills:
- Advanced Project Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale content projects from conception to completion, ensuring effective planning, seamless execution, and robust risk management.
- Advertising agency experience is essential
- Strong Leadership and Team Management: Proven experience in managing geographically dispersed teams and the ability to oversee offshore operations effectively. Experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams and providing mentorship and career development.
- Excellent Communication and Stakeholder Management: Ability to maintain and enhance relationships with both client and internal stakeholders. Skilled in managing expectations and delivering project updates to various audiences, including senior management.
- Operational Excellence: Experience in optimizing workflows to improve efficiency and effectiveness within content operations. Familiarity with the latest tools and technologies in content management and digital operations.
- Risk Management: Ability to anticipate and mitigate risks to project delivery, with experience in developing alternative plans and escalating issues as necessary.
- Strategic Planning: Strong capability in planning and scoping projects, understanding resource, tool, and skill requirements. Experience overseeing planning cycles and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Analytical and Reporting Skills: Proficient in using data to provide reporting on core success metrics, generate actionable insights, and celebrate team achievements. Experience with analytics tools and performance measurement systems.
- Change Management: Skilled in implementing change programs, refining operational structures, and enhancing workflow processes. Experience in recruitment, onboarding, and organizational development.
- Cross-Cultural Competency: Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders across different geographical locations. Cultural sensitivity and experience in international business environments are essential.
