Senior Security Legal Counsel
The Global Services Legal team is a strategic partner and a product counsel for the five Service lines of Accenture, i.e., Technology, Strategy & Consulting, Operations, Song and IndustryX. The Global Services Legal team is now looking to appoint a senior legal counsel to join the Security Legal team.

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Security Global Legal Lead, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior Security leadership and collaborate with senior stakeholders across Legal and other Corporate Functions Key areas of responsibility for the Senior Security Counsel role include:
- Lead legal support for our managed security business, including participating in service domain leads meetings, briefing senior legal and business leadership and mentoring/managing more junior team members;
- Assess new Security product and service offerings, and guide them to market in a legally compliant manner with appropriate risk mitigations (contractual, operational, technical);
- Team with Accenture regulatory and compliance counsel to synthesize and provide regulatory and compliance advice, including anticipating the impact of regulatory changes on the business;
- Develop guidance and templates for Security offerings to enable Accenture’s client-facing Legal team to efficiently handle day-to-day contracting;
- Play a key role in escalations and, in collaboration with Quality & Risk, continuously improve overall governance and risk management;
- Develop and deliver clear communications, guidance, and trainings regarding legal considerations for the offering development and sales teams;
- Collaborate with business and legal in support of thought leadership activities;
- Help evaluate prospective acquisition targets, conduct due diligence, and shape post-merger integration strategy.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Skills Requirements
- JD degree or equivalent degree or legal qualification.
- Admitted to the bar (or local equivalent) and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law.
- 8+ years legal experience, with a preference for some experience advising on new product or service offerings.
- Candidates will be
- pragmatic and practical in their approach to advising and delivering legal support;
- Experienced in analyzing complex facts, using good judgement to spot risks and make risk mitigation recommendations;
- Adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity;
- A good communicator, and able to influence and collaborate with multiple stakeholders;
- Flexible to work global hours when necessary; and
- Experienced in working in diverse teams.
- Candidates should have a strong understanding of
- The cybersecurity industry, including security technologies and legal issues related to cybersecurity services;
- Intellectual property commercial and transactional issues;
- Deal shaping and evaluation of innovative commercial models;
- Applicable regulatory landscapes and their effect on service offerings; and
- Candidates should ideally also have experience in
- Reviewing, drafting and negotiating agreements client and supplier agreements (e.g. security products or services, outsourcing, technology), including understanding of intellectual property, data privacy and data protection issues;
- Providing guidance and training to business and other legal teams;
- Risk identification in relation to operational technology; and
Developing trusted relationships with business leaders.
