What will be your responsibilities:
- Cloud Architecture: create and optimize cloud architectures, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient.
- Design and documentation: create a design of new infrastructure solutions, be responsible for delivery of a high-level or low-level design documents, be able to independently create smaller deliverables
- Migration Planning: Lead cloud and datacenter migration initiatives, assessing existing on-premises systems and developing migration roadmaps. Be able to create and deliver a project plan.
- Infrastructure optimization: analyze infrastructure resources, identifying opportunities for performance improvement and cost optimizations.
- Project/Team Management: Lead a small technical team on a project, coordinating activities of junior team members, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards. Report to a project manager. Manage and oversee the execution of smaller consulting projects.
- Automation and DevOps: Advise our client in the area of infrastructure automation, Infrastructure as Code and DevOps. Design and/or implement automation and DevOps practices to streamline cloud operations and enhance efficiency.
- Collaboration: collaborate with cross-functional teams, including application teams and network engineers, to achieve integrated solutions
- Client Communication: Cultivate strong client relationships, communicate effectively with the client, proactively addressing concerns, and ensuring overall satisfaction.
- Innovation: Deepen your infrastructure engineering expertise. Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies and methodologies, exploring innovative solutions.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Expertise:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in infrastructure consulting, architecture, administration, or similar role
- Good understanding of IaaS and PaaS cloud services
- Proficiency in one of the cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with relevant certification(s).
- Knowledge of the main infrastructure building blocks and their basic principles – compute, storage, networking.
- Understanding virtualization and experience with a server or desktop virtualization solution (e.g. VMware vSphere, MS Hyper-V)
- Experience with cloud or on-premise migration tools and strategies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to design and explain complex infrastructure solution.
- Excellent project management and client communication skills
- An eagerness to learn and adapt in a rapidly evolving field.
- Be a team player
- Have team leading experience.
- Advanced scripting and coding skills, with familiarity in automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) is a plus.
