Job Description
- IMS Implementation Support: Assist operators in the implementation of IMS solutions for voice services, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
- Testing & Optimization: Conduct testing of IMS-based voice services, identifying areas for optimization to enhance service quality and performance.
- Network Design & Configuration: Provide design and configuration support for IMS architectures, including High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation.
- Protocol Expertise: Utilize in-depth knowledge of VoIP/IMS protocols (e.g., SIP, SS7) to troubleshoot and resolve issues in voice service delivery.
- Performance Monitoring: Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for voice services, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams and external operators to ensure smooth project execution and effective communication.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and present technical documentation and reports on IMS implementations and voice service optimizations.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and technologies to provide innovative solutions and support operators in evolving their voice services.
Qualifications
- Education: Degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience:
- Experience in engineering, design, optimization, or performance roles related to IMS/VoIP services, preferably with mobile/fixed network operators or vendors.
- Proven knowledge of VoIP/Fixed IMS network architecture, interfaces, and call flows.
- Experience in testing and optimizing voice services within IMS environments.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in trace analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark) for diagnosing network issues.
- Solid understanding of IP networking concepts and protocols.
- Familiarity with Mobile Core technologies (PS/CS, VoLTE, Cloud migration, Slicing) is a plus.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong communication skills in spoken and written English.
- Ability to manage projects effectively and work collaboratively with stakeholders.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel as needed to support operator engagements.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the telecommunications field.
