Responsibilities of the PLM Business Consultant may include:

  • Participate in the Business process design and User Journey mapping.

  • Participate in industry /corporate process implementation across all related applications.

  • Successfully support the management team in different project areas.

  • Support project execution using project management tools such as Azure DevOps & Jira

  • Provide Domain-Expertise on complex projects in areas such as Manufacturing Throughput Improvement, Maintenance Management and Operational Excellence

  • Assess client data to identify business performance killers and conduct root cause analysis.

  • Participate in requirements gathering and create functional specifications.

  • Participate in the solution design, helping the solution architect with functional insights.

  • Perform feasibility studies and process design reviews.

  • Participate and/or lead functional design workshops.

  • Develop functional specifications and coordinate with technical implementation teams.

  • Coach workstream team(s) on implementation of Agile-scrum practices.

  • Facilitate Scrum Ceremonies: PI Planning events, Daily stand ups, Iteration planning sessions, sprint reviews and sprint retrospective meetings.

  • Manage dependencies, resolve conflicts, and remove obstacles that occur during project implementation.

  • Deployment: Troubleshoot complex configuration and system issues. Document and follow up with customer issues to complete resolution.

  • Coordinate with client stakeholders and external stakeholders during project implementation

  • Implementation: Prepare and support the organizational change management activities. Prepare training plan, training documentation and provide end users training.

  • Documentation: Document the configuration and architecture.

  • Validation Tests: Conduct functional and integration testing, including the preparation of test cases/scenarios and test data.

  • Reporting: Report progress status and issues.

  • Maintenance: Analyze, design, and produce solution enhancements.

  • Meet travel requirements, up to 80%.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4 + years of professional experience with a major PLM system (PTC, Dassault Systems, Siemens, SAP-PLM, Oracle Agile) and/or Master Data Management.

  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in IT systems (Engineering/Manufacturing).

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Business Process Design Experience.

  • Tests management / execution experience.

  • Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering concepts and solutions.

  • Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) concepts and solutions.

  • Aerospace & Defense experience

  • Ability to understand business needs, articulate trade-offs, and discuss solutions with business and development teams.

  • Able to comfortably manage multiple tasks, communicate status, escalate issues and juggle competing priorities.

  • Strong team player with a “can do” attitude, and the flexibility to jump in wherever needed.

  • Self-starter with a bias toward action and the ability to produce results.

  • Team management experience.

  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.

  • Collaboration skills.

  • Flexibility.

  • Time management skills.
