Job Description
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Process and validate payroll information
Assist with the administration and processing of payroll activities
Issue Records of Employment
Compile and submit Garnishments
Respond in a timely manner to customers on payroll matters
Develop a knowledge of Union Agreements
Other duties as required
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Education or experience in payroll (or a related field) is considered an asset
A minimum of one-year general office experience, preferably within a payroll environment
Bilingual (English/French)
Demonstrated proficiency in MS office products
Professional Qualifications:
Some supervisory or managerial experience with possible opportunity to grow within the organization
Must be highly motivated with an ability to manage a large volume of work effectively while adhering to strict deadlines
Strong organization and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi- task daily activities in a fast paced environment
Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers
Strong Customer Service skills
Demonstrated ability to work with highly confidential information
Must be detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy
Ability to work with a team
