Field Specialist - Sequential Excavation Method (Night Shift)

Job Description
- (Internal Title: Construction Management II)
- Monitor all construction work for compliance with the contract requirements and advise the assigned supervisor or higher of any site issues such as quality, safety, and environmental
- Utilize experience with Sequential Excavation Method / shotcrete in work delivery
- Review any non-conformance issues with the contract requirements and construction documents and help draft associated documentation
- Conduct daily site inspections to take photos and record construction activities
- Prepare and submit daily reports to leadership
- Develop complete records and logs of materials, equipment, deliveries, construction progress, and labor used, especially with claims or disputes (potential or actual)
- Notify the Health and Safety Manager of any noted unsafe practices
- Develop weekly and monthly KPI reports
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to support project construction activities
- Administer construction documents and correspondence
- Develop project documents through various phases in support of the manager and team
- Create constructability reviews and reports
- Complete any tasks assigned by the manager or higher in an efficient and timely manner

Qualifications
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Construction Management in the area of specialty or a relevant role
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in an Engineering or Construction Management field
- Licenses OR Certifications:
- Holding a recognized certification in area of specialty
- Skills and Competencies:
- Previous experience with Sequential Excavation Method / shotcrete work is a must
- Experience in rail and transit is preferred
- Effective skills in Microsoft Office
- Proficient in relevant construction-related software
- In-depth understanding of prevailing construction means and methods in relevant area
- Ability to arrange priorities and escalate competing risks to meet deadlines
- Keen eye for detail and adept problem-solving abilities
- Must have demonstrated experience relaying and receiving information (written and verbal)
- Equipped to work independently and as part of a team
