Your job

The Health & Safety Representative is responsible, within a country or location for managing risks (employees or infrastructure related) and safety in a manner that satisfies legislation, best practices, and corporate position / reputation. He/she is responsible for reducing the risk of personal injury to employees and the risk of corporate damage and financial loss in accordance with Health and Safety legislation (where appropriate).  He/she implements corporate health & safety processes and procedures (including emergency and recovery plans) and ensures they are applied.

People

  • Reducing the risk of personal injury to employees – you will work with legal; people matter and global asset protection to implement appropriate people and physical safety procedures.
  • Cooperate with team members within the project, locations, or MU in terms of direction, target setting, guidance, activities, planning.

Processes

  • Implement policies, procedures and best practices for health & safety.
  • Emergency Planning & Business Continuity Planning – assist efforts to establish plans, keep up-to-date, and provide direction on training / testing approaches.
  • Implement adequate Health and Safety standards regarding workstations and safety issues.
  • Maintain emergency and recovery plans within the country or office.

Technology

  • H&S Incident mgmt tool deployment
  • ISO45001 certification
  • Floor warden (including training)
  • Health & Safety Specialty Space Inspections (hazardous equipment)
  • Workplace H&S training
  • IDP (infection disease program)

Data

  • Measure compliance with Health and Safety legislation within the MU (where appropriate), reduce the exposure to injury for employees and also reduce the risk of financial loss.  Implement and maintain Health and Safety policies and procedures to facilitate company compliance with legislation.
  • Conduct health & safety reviews at sites to measure compliance.

Qualifications

Here’s what you’ll need

  • Secretary of Committee of prevention/protection certified
  • Minimum 3 year or workforce experience in comparable environment.
  • Emergency Planning & Business Continuity Planning skills.
  • Crisis mgmt. - crisis training and mgmt. plans.
  • Fluent in Dutch, French and English (written and spoken)
  • Office Microsoft skills and practice
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills (incl. dispute resolution).
  • Project and planning management skills (incl.
  • budgeting).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, holidays, and respond to security issues needed.
  • Willing to travel
