Working as part of the ANZ Payroll Team, the successful candidate will be integral in ensuring a smooth processing or Accenture payrolls for New Zealand and Australia. This person will also have the opportunity to work on projects initiated by the ANZ Payroll Team, and the payroll-related elements of various other company-wide projects and transformation initiatives.

In our team you will have the opportunity to:

Support the business by providing prompt and efficient query resolution
As a Senior Payroll Analyst, your duties will include:
Accurate and timely processing of the monthly Accenture New Zealand and Avanade (AU) payrolls, off-cycles and manual payments ensuring a high degree of accuracy of relevant accounting and financial records
Ensuring New Zealand payroll and practices align with the NZ Holidays Act and other relevant legislation
Australian and New Zealand compliance calculations such as, but not limited to:
Age Based Limit and Superannuation Guarantee Maximum Contribution Limits
Kiwi Saver
Bonus related tax obligations
Fringe Benefit and related LAFHA reporting obligations
Terminations / Severance
New Hires
Assisting with Australian & New Zealand statutory compliance of payroll function and ensuring accuracy of relevant accounting records
Support the organisation in payroll processing projects and initiatives both at a national and international level
Liaising with both internal and external stakeholders on all third-party disbursement schedules/information requirements
Support month end preparation and review of payroll provisions
Work closely with HR, Finance, our internal V&A team and external stakeholders to ensure smooth and seamless transition of onboarding employees
Assist with the development of payroll controls relating to audit requirements
Be point of contact for queries related to Accenture New Zealand and Avanade (AU) payrolls
We are looking for experience in the following skills:
Excellent knowledge of Australian and New Zealand payroll and HR processes
Experience with Ascender Preceda (highly regarded)
Advanced Excel skills
Accuracy and an eye for detail
Working as part of a busy team in a fast-paced, matrix environment
Strong communication skills including clear, professional written and verbal English
The ability to work autonomously on own initiative either independently or as part of a team
A strong customer focus and polished customer management skills (with experience of working with customers and stakeholders in high pressure environments)
A quick thinker with a ‘can do’ attitude and an aptitude for creativity or the ability to adapt as required
Strong organisation skills
Good working knowledge of IT
Strong team player

Reports to: ANZ Payroll Operations Team Leader
Qualifications
Education: Certificate IV/Diploma in Payroll or equivalent in Finance, Taxation
Work Experience: 2-4 years Payroll experience
Experience with high volume payroll
Understanding of New Zealand Inland Revenue Department (IRD) Legislation as it pertains to payroll
Understanding of KiwiSaver/Superannuation Legislation

Responsibilities
Develop and Execute the Strategy
•Act as a point of a contact for programs, initiatives, and operations for an assigned area.
•Support program/project communications including team calls, agenda and materials to keep relevant stakeholders informed and engaged
•Execute timely delivery
Ensures compliance
•Partner with client teams to deliver financial results that are compliant with US GAAP and internal controls as well as with all statutory and tax requirements of all jurisdictions
•Manage corporate tax functions to achieve and maintain favorable and stable tax rates across our business and geographies
Prepare and interpret financial plans and reports
•Establish drive alignment and measure long-range, annual and quarterly financial targets
• Prepare and interpret financial reports, including forecasts, budgets, income statements, balance sheets and cash flow documents; monitor and assess results for patterns, trends and potential opportunities
•Manage Accenture’s liquidity, investing and hedging strategies to minimize fiscal risk and support strategic growth
•Reduce portfolio risk by delivering quality at the source; ensure strong business cases for our clients and for Accenture from deal-shaping through execution
Process input data
•Identifies payroll key steps and logically organizes own work to meet deadlines.
•Execute timely delivery of monthly entries.
•Accurately organizes large amounts of information. And upload all entries in the payroll system.
•Identify and keep informed all stakeholders involved in the Payroll Process
•Knows and manage moderate all Payroll tools and sites.
•Making Update the task and process in the payroll manual and job aids
Process Outputs
•Track the performance issues and risks regards the monthly payroll
•Know all output that payroll performance after monthly payment
•Execute the payroll standard reports in the payroll systems
Process Payroll calculation
•Remains calm and focused when under pressure, during the payroll payment.
•Support the payroll payment in order to mitigate of operations risks and issues.
•Recognizes what issues need to be raised, to whom and when.
•Keeps supervisors and others informed and involved as issues develop.
