Job Description:
As a Vulnerability Management Subject Matter Expert, you will play a critical role in safeguarding providing expertise and knowledge to protect organizations digital assets and infrastructure from potential threats. You will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our vulnerability management program, ensuring that our client systems remain resilient against emerging cybersecurity risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with Accenture clients to design and implement a comprehensive vulnerability management strategy aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Work with offshore delivery teams to conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify, prioritize, and remediate security weaknesses across the organization's network, systems, and applications.
- Collaborate with clients cross-functional teams, including IT, engineering, and security operations, to ensure timely resolution of identified vulnerabilities.
- Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and trends, and provide proactive guidance on mitigation strategies and risk management.
- Worth with Accenture partners in vulnerability management space to evaluate and deploy vulnerability scanning tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the vulnerability management program.
- Provide expert guidance and training to internal stakeholders on vulnerability management processes, tools, and best practices.
- Collaborate with external partners, vendors, and industry peers to share knowledge, insights, and best practices in vulnerability management.
- Participate in incident response activities as a subject matter expert to investigate and mitigate security incidents related to vulnerabilities.
- Prepare and present regular reports and updates on the status of vulnerability management activities for clients, including metrics, trends, and risk analysis, to senior leadership.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience (5 years) in vulnerability management, cybersecurity, or information security roles, with a focus on designing and implementing vulnerability management programs.
- Deep understanding of vulnerability assessment tools, techniques, and methodologies, such as vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and threat modelling
- Expertise in interpreting vulnerability scan results and prioritizing remediation efforts based on risk assessment methodologies (e.g., CVSS).
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and frameworks related to vulnerability management, such as CVE, CWE, NIST, and ISO/IEC 27001.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop practical solutions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Experience with cloud computing environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of cybersecurity.
